  • Don’t take other nasal medications for at least one hour. If you ingest nasal corticosteroid or nasal decongestant medications, do so at least one hour prior your treatment.

Once you’ve made your preparations, you will start treatment. We will instruct you on how to take the nasal spray. You will self-administer the spray while under the direct care of our healthcare professionals. We’ll monitor you for at least two hours for side effects and alert you to when it’s time for you to leave.

For four weeks, you will take SPRAVATO twice a week. Once finished, we’ll review the levels and frequency of of your dosage and recommend a course of action that considers your progress, symptoms, and other factors.

What Does SPRAVATO Feel Like?

SPRAVATO produces a calming, relaxed feeling that helps alleviate your symptoms of Treatment-Resistant Depression. The dosage will not cause sedation in most patients, but you may feel sleepy or doze off during your session. The drowsiness or sleepiness you feel should go away not too long after the visit ends or during your monitored recovery time.

Other side effects are possible, including nausea, vomiting, disorientation, or dizziness. However, many patients experience very few or no side effects at all.
